Cafe Gelfart in Ramsau

We have been to the beautiful Hintersee quite often, we like to stop by the Gelfart family in the café. The café is family-friendly, the waitresses were always very polite and courteous. The homemade cake is also highly recommended. We always like to come back ?

The cozy atmosphere is complemented by the very friendly staff and delicious homemade cakes. Dogs are very welcome. We all felt comfortable.

After a relaxed hike around the Hintersee and through the magical forest, we stopped in at Café Gelfart. With a great view and super nice staff, we were able to enjoy our well-deserved coffee :) We'll always be back. Theresa & Carina

The perfect place to fortify yourself before or after the Hintersee tour! All the sandwiches (we had cheese, salami and ham) were generously topped and very tasty. The super lovely café dog Luna kept us company and was petted :)

Highly recommended, although we arrived shortly before the end of the day, we were served in a friendly and unhurried manner. The cheese cream cake is a dream and even our dog was thrilled because the nice waitresses brought him treats. If we are in the area on vacation again, we will definitely visit the café again.

Despite the difficult time because of Corona. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The coffee and cake were very good. We were in the café 2 times. And every time we were warmly received. We would love to come back.

Super friendly in all situations, when you consider the challenges the waitresses have to master day after day with the Corona rule, which unfortunately many people still haven't understood. Very delicious home-baked cake, very good coffee, we will always be happy to come back here, keep it up???

Have visited the Café Gelfart am Hintersee near the Bavarian Ramsau several times and look forward to it every time I am in the area. The staff is very welcoming and the homemade cakes are delicious. As an animal lover, I am always looking forward to the very loving and friendly farm dog Luna, who also greeted me on yesterday's visit. The ice cream and the freshly made ice cream waffles, which taste unrivaled, are also very special.

A cozy café, with a breathtaking view of the lake and the mountain. A very friendly welcome and homemade cakes. And for dog lovers, Luna, who adores children.

Cream cakes tasted like frozen cakes, which you can get at the supermarket. Plum and apple cakes are homemade but with pound cake dough. You can definitely get better cakes in Bavaria!

We recommend. Inexpensive, good, friendly and compliance with the Corona hygiene regulation. Therefore you have to accept possible waiting times. But what is worth it! :-))

Very nice little café in an idyllic location, where hospitality and friendliness are still very important. Very tasty homemade cakes and pies. Particularly noteworthy is the exemplary and conscientiously implemented hygiene concept with regard to Corona. Café Gelfart comes highly recommended. We'll definitely be back.

In these difficult times. Are we again received and served in a very friendly and courteous manner. From there you have a beautiful view of the Hintersee. A visit there is worthwhile.

An absolute recommendation! The location is a dream, there is a wonderful selection of cakes and lunch plates. Dogs are very welcome! The team is very nice, courteous and professional, especially in the current situation, the hygiene measures are conscientiously implemented. We have been going there for years and continue to be loyal.

Nice and quick staff. We had delicious cakes and the child got his sundae. Drinks cold and plentiful (0.5 liters available).

The café is just next to the Hintersee. If you sit next to the window, you can see a beautiful view of the Hintersee and the mountains. The cheesecake was delicious!

Been here many times over the years. Great views, friendly staff, and good coffee/cake. Find a nice sunny day and you could sit outside for hours !

A nice and lovely Café. We had coffee,tea and homemade sweet pies. It’s very delicious! The staff are super nice and friendly. They gave us free postcards as gifts. ??????

3 stars for the view; service seemed a bit taxed. Only had water and wine, so can't comment on the food. It was crowded with families and children; probably not the best choice for solo travelers. Touristy.

Apfelkuchen wasn’t as good as expected, it was a bit dry... otherwise a nice place to stop at, and see the beautiful Hintersee.
